1970s

April 1975
Founded in Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan, to provide pest control and preservation services for buildings.
September 1978
Incorporated as Sanyo Shodoku Co., Ltd. in Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture.

1980s

April 1981
To strengthen the environmental hygiene division, which aims to provide pest control, rodent control, and other sanitation services, we established separate corporate divisions in Sasebo, Nagasaki, and Kumamoto.
November 1981
Relocated headquarters to Fukuoka City.
July 1982
Opened a comprehensive training center and research institute in Nakagawa-cho, Fukuoka Prefecture.
September 1982
Established a branch office in Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture, to expand into the general household market in the Kansai region.
May 1986
Established the Total Sanitation Division (TS Division) to provide after-sales maintenance services for the general household market.
March 1987
Adopted a new corporate identity (CI), changed the company name to SANIX INCORPORATED, and reorganized business divisions into Home Sanitation Division (HS Division) for general households and Establishment Sanitation Division (ES Division) for corporations.
August 1987
Commenced sales partnerships with agricultural cooperatives in the HS Division.

1990s

March 1991
Established the Takeo Plant in Takeo City, Saga Prefecture, for the manufacturing of environmental hygiene equipment.
December 1992
Established the Shinagawa Environmental Hygiene Office in Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo, to expand the ES Division into the Kanto region.
December 1993
Established a comprehensive training center in Genkai-cho, Munakata District, Fukuoka Prefecture.
April 1994
Established the Kitakyushu Plant in Moji Ward, Kitakyushu City, for industrial waste treatment and launched the Industrial Waste Treatment Division to commence intermediate treatment of industrial waste. (The Kitakyushu Plant was transferred to Asahi Pretec Corp. in November 2007.)
December 1995
Established SUNAIM INCORPORATED (current consolidated subsidiary) to primarily engage in the sale of chemicals.
September 1996
Registered shares with the Japan Securities Dealers Association.
August 1997
Expanded into the Chubu region by establishing a Nagoya branch and four other branch offices in Aichi Prefecture.
September 1997
Listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, the Second Section of the Osaka Securities Exchange, and the Fukuoka Securities Exchange.
February 1999
Established Energy General Research Institute to primarily engage in the sale of recycled waste fuel.
April 1999
Established a plastic resource development plant in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture, to process waste plastics into fuel. Simultaneously, renamed the Industrial Waste Treatment Division to the Environmental Resource Development Division to comprehensively promote industrial waste recycling.
September 1999
Listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange and the First Section of the Osaka Securities Exchange.

2000s

March 2000
Established the Hibiki Organic Waste Liquid Treatment Plant in Wakamatsu Ward, Kitakyushu City, to treat organic waste liquid.
April 2000
Reorganized the HS Division into the HS Business Headquarters and the ES Division into the ES Business Headquarters.
April 2001
Relocated headquarters to 2-1-23, Hakataeki Higashi, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City (current headquarters location).
April 2001
In anticipation of future power sales, applied for a specific electricity business operator (PPS) license in line with the liberalization of electricity for specific users.
October 2001
Established SANIX ENERGY INCORPORATED (current consolidated subsidiary) to primarily engage in power generation and sales using plastic fuel.
April 2002
Expanded into the Kanto region by establishing the Chiba branch and five other branches in the HS Division.
April 2003
Established SANIX SOFTWARE DESIGN INCORPORATED (current consolidated subsidiary) to primarily undertake information system services.
October 2003
Completed construction of the SANIX ENERGY Tomakomai Power Plant in Tomakomai City, Hokkaido.
May 2004
Established SANIX SOLUTIONS INCORPORATED (current consolidated subsidiary) to primarily provide industrial waste disposal consulting and sell fuel additives.
August 2006
Closed branch offices in the Kanto region of the HS Division, except for the customer management department.
February 2009
Joined the Japan Electric Power Exchange (JEPX) as a trading member and commenced wholesale electricity trading on JEPX.
October 2009
SANIX ENERGY INCORPORATED (current consolidated subsidiary) acquired Hokuhai Co., Ltd. and C&R INCORPORATED to primarily dispose of incineration ash discharged from the Tomakomai Power Plant.

2010s

April 2010
Established HOKKAIDO SANIX ENVIRONMENT INCORPORATED (current consolidated subsidiary) to primarily collect, transport, and process industrial waste.
June 2010
Transferred the Tomakomai Plastic Resource Development Plant and related businesses of the Environmental Resource Development Division to HOKKAIDO SANIX ENVIRONMENT INCORPORATED through an absorption-type split.
December 2010
Established SHANRI (SHANGHAI) ENERGY SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD. (a wholly-owned subsidiary) in Shanghai, China, to primarily manufacture and sell solar modules.
January 2012
Established SANIX ENGINEERING INCORPORATED (a wholly-owned subsidiary) to primarily plan, design, sell, construct, and consult on public and industrial solar power generation systems.
June 2014
Transferred the sales and construction business of solar power generation systems of SANIX EMGINEERING INCORPORATED to the company through a simplified absorption-type split to strengthen the industrial solar power generation business and further expand the business.
August 2014
Established the second Takeo Plant in Takeo City, Saga Prefecture, to manufacture equipment related to solar power generation systems.
October 2015
Commenced the new electricity (retail electricity) business within the company to expand the retail electricity business.
November 2015
Registered as a registered retail electricity business operator in preparation for the full liberalization of retail electricity from April 2016 to sell electricity to general households.
August 2016
Established SHANRI (JIAXING) ENERGY SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD. (current consolidated subsidiary) in Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, China, to primarily produce solar modules and related accessories.
April 2018
Merged SANIX ENGINEERING INCORPORATED to further streamline group management.
August 2018
Changed the primary business purpose of Energy General Research Institute to household retail electricity business and changed the company name to SANIX TAIYOKO DENKI INCORPORATED (current consolidated subsidiary).

Transitioned to a company with a board of auditors.

April 2022
Transitioned from the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange to the Prime Market due to the review of market segments of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
October 2023
Changed from the Prime Market to the Standard Market of the Tokyo Stock Exchange through the reselection of market segments.
January 2024
Established SANIX ENGINEERING INCORPORATED (current consolidated subsidiary) to take over the PV business (corporate solar power generation business) through a simplified absorption-type split with the aim of expanding the solar power generation business.
May 2024
Established SANIX RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT GROUP INCORPORATED (currently a consolidated subsidiary) with the aim of transferring the environmental resource development business through a company split (simple absorption split).

Established SANIX HOME BUILD SERVICE INCORPORATED (currently a consolidated subsidiary) with the aim of transferring construction business operations requiring construction permits in the living environment sector through a company split (simple incorporation split).
